Noreen McCann has a lifelong track record as a solid conservative and a loyal Republican. Noreen began her career fighting for family values at the grassroots level before working to support conservative principles as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. during the early years of the Reagan administration. In D.C. Noreen worked with Congressional offices and other organizations to support a strong national defense and advance the life issues.

Noreen moved to St. Louis to marry Kevin McCann over 30 years ago. They have raised their six children, ranging in age from 29 years to 18 years old, in West St. Louis County. Their youngest child leaves for college this fall.

Here in Missouri, Noreen’s Republican involvement includes working on campaigns at all levels, from presidential, senate and Congressional campaigns to state legislative races and local municipal elections, including campaigns for Senator Roy Blunt, State Senator Jane Cunningham, Representative Allen Icet and Monarch Fire Board President Robin Harris. Noreen and Kevin have served as Republican Party delegates at township, Congressional and state convention levels.

The McCann children have also participated in self-government by working polls, phone banking and completing mailings for Republican candidates. Their oldest son Jack worked on Capitol Hill in Sen. Roy Blunt’s office for four years and is now a business consultant. Their oldest daughter Molly was an officer of the St. Louis Young Republicans Club. She is currently the Executive Director of Missouri Roundtable for Life which engages in education and advocacy for life.

Noreen and Kevin are members of Ascension parish in Chesterfield. Noreen served a term on her previous parish’s school board. For five years Noreen served on the board of Women for Faith and Family, an organization of women striving to live an effective, faith-filled witness to their families and to the world. Noreen also serves on the board of Missouri Eagle Forum.

Through the years Noreen has been involved with many community organizations supporting their children’s many activities including the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts, St. Louis Patriots Basketball, the U.S. Navy Sea Cadet Corps, Ascension Squires, and robotics. Her husband Kevin is a longtime member of the NRA and several of their children hunt.

Noreen grew up in Illinois and graduated from Thomas Aquinas College in California, a classical liberal arts college utilizing a single integrated Great Books curriculum. The McCanns live in Wildwood.

Issues

Pro-Life

Life begins at conception. The sanctity of life must be protected from conception to natural death. Noreen and her family have worked in the trenches on life.

2nd Amendment Rights

Supports 2nd Amendment rights. “When guns are outlawed, only criminals will have guns.”

Taxes, Jobs and
Helping Businesses

Reduce government regulations which stifle businesses and job creators. Families are struggling and the solution is lower taxes and less regulation.

Education

Classroom time is limited; dedicated teachers must be free to teach and not be compelled to repeatedly administer expensive tests which violate student and family privacy and do not advance academic achievement. Opposes Common Core.

Supports Right-to-Work

State-by-state, RTW is passing. The longer Missouri takes to pass RTW, the less economic benefit will accrue to our state.
